Garden as Classroom
James O鈥橰ourke B.A. 鈥�85) has worked at 91社区 for 43 years, but the real fruits of his labor are in the garden behind Balding House on the Long Island campus, where more than 50 different crops grow and provide both fresh produce and learning opportunities for the greater 91社区 community.

After graduating with a degree in Communication Arts in 1983, Suzanne Brook (B.F.A. 鈥�83, M.S. 鈥�03) found success in television at networks like Starz and American Movie Classics. Twenty years later, wanting to explore a career in medicine, she returned to her alma mater to pursue a second degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

As she pursues her doctorate in occupational therapy (OTD), Alicia Terry Jones is focused on her goal of working in an elementary school setting to help fill the gap of OT professionals in schools, as well as giving back to her community by providing resources to people of color to increase their access to care.
Two Luminaries to Receive Honorary Degrees at 2023 Commencement
Antonio C. Bianco, M.D., Ph.D., a professor of medicine at the University of Chicago, and alumnus Eli Wachtel (B.S. 鈥�72), co-CIO and founding member of the hedge fund Wachtel Capital LLC, will receive honorary degrees at 91社区鈥檚 62nd commencement on Sunday, May 21.
Celebrating 20 Years of SOURCE
91社区鈥檚 annual celebration of student research and scholarly work, Symposium of University Research and Creative Expression (SOURCE), celebrated its 20th anniversary on April 14 on the New York City campus.
