Karen Florio, M.P.H. (D.O. 鈥�07), has dedicated her career to the study of high-risk pregnancies. When she developed preeclampsia during her own pregnancy, it changed her perspective, prompting her to spend more time with patients and focus on the cardiovascular aspect of maternal care.
Alumni Profile: Arianna Armelli
After seeing the struggles victims of Hurricane Sandy faced to rebuild their homes, Arianna Armelli (B.Arch. 鈥�12) felt she needed to do something, prompting her to open her firm, Dorothy, which acts as a liaison between property owners and public adjusters who will process and review their insurance claims.
From Friends to Business Partners
Gustavo Penengo (B.Arch. 鈥�96) and Philip Rossillo (B.Arch. 鈥�97) met as architecture students and remained close ever since. After collaborating on a project for a 9/11 memorial on Long Island, they made it official, and started their firm PRDG architecture + design.

When Erica Ayisi (B.F.A. 鈥�03, M.A. 鈥�10) takes on an story, it is always with a deep sense of curiosity. Her work has been published in countless nationally recognized media outlets and publications. And as a Pulitzer Center grantee, she receives funding to pursue work on underreported international human-interest stories.
A Very Special Delivery
Just three months into her first year as a pediatrics resident at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, N.Y., Emily Kraft (D.O. 鈥�23) was leaving the hospital at the end of her shift to head to a Halloween party when she encountered a woman in distress. The next thing she knew, she was delivering a baby.

At 17, Digant Bahl (B.S. 鈥�00, M.B.A. 鈥�02) arrived in the United States with less than $20 and a dream. After hard work, he enrolled in 91社区 and received a bachelor鈥檚 degree and M.B.A. Just eight years later, he opened his company, Accounting Solutions of NY.
