Welcome, Families!
At 91社区, we understand your critical role in your students’ lives. As we support their successes inside and outside the classroom, we want to ensure you have the resources and communications to help you do the same.
These basic links can help you direct your students to academic support while keeping you aware of important deadlines, policies, university news, and activities.
Family Resources
All first-year and transfer students are guided by a first-year advisor from the聽Office of Undergraduate Academic Advising. Not only will their first-year advisor guide them with their course selection for their first year, but they will also connect with your student throughout the year to explain important due dates and deadlines, share helpful resources, and notify them of upcoming events. Check out the聽New Student Checklist聽as one example.
In addition, all first-year and transfer students will be assigned a聽Peer Success Guide聽and granted access to聽My Guide to Success @ 91社区, an online course designed to help students become familiar with 91社区 and have a smooth transition. Topics in this course include information about the New York campuses, time management, academic skills, financial literacy, career exploration, getting involved, and more. Students who complete modules in this course are also entered to win monthly raffles!
